The Du Art Magazine - Art Nouveau in New York - Back Issues
The Swiss Du Magazine is by all means the most elegant, aristocratic and in-depth going art and culture magazine ever published in Europe. Founded in 1941, in Switzerland - an island of peace and sanity in the heart of flaming Europe - the magazine's editorial board wished to show that art and culture will overcome human cruelty and violence. The Du magazine devotes each monthly issue to a single theme drawn from art, literature, photography, film, architecture, design and music. Renowned photographers such as Rene Burri, Werner Bischof, Henri Cartier-Bresson as well as excellent authors such as Elfriede Jelinek, John le Carre, Viola Roggenkamp, Wilhelm Genazino and Ismail Kadare have left their mark upon the magazine since 1941. The popularity of its back-issue orders made years after the original release illustrates the extent to which the Du magazine was ahead of its time.

אסופת חוברות עבר של המגזין DU Magazine למכירה לאוהבי תרבות ואמנות.
ב 1941, כשאירופה עלתה בלהבות ו"מעצמות תרבות" כאנגליה, גרמניה, צרפת, יפאן וארה"ב היו שקועות בעיצומו של תהליך הקטל הגדול ביותר בהסטוריה של המין האנושי, נוסד בשוויצריה הירחון Du שחרט על דגלו את ערכי היופי והאהבה האוניברסליים של האמנות. לא קשה לנחש שהשוויצרים שכנראה הבינו היטב מה קורה מסביבם, ניסו לשמור על שפייות כלשהי ונצמדו לכל מה שהיה שונה מן הטבח הנורא שהקיף את האי הניטראלי המבודד שלהם. לימים הפך המגזין דו לנושא דברה של התרבות והאמנות - רציני, מעמיק, עם טובי הכותבים והצלמים. כל ירחון עוסק בנושא עיקרי מסוים הקשור באמנות, ארכיטקטורה, ספרות, צילום ועוד. בחירת הנושאים קפדנית ומעניינת, ואינה נוטה לכיוון הפופוליסטי. הטקסטים ברמה גבוהה ביותר והצילומים משובחים ללא פשרות - לדוגמא החוברת המדהימה שלפניכם שיצאה לאור במרץ 1971 ומוקדשת כולה למוזיאון ישראל בירושלים Das Israel Museum In Jerusalem - החוברת כוללת תיעוד מרתק של אוספי המוזיאון - כתבו לי אם אתם מעונינים בפרטים נוספים.
